Just in case the brand new BMW i8 plug-in sports car didn't have the entire country in awe, BMW has decided to subtract a roof from the equation. The official name is the BMW i8 Concept Spyder, and there are a number of changes worth noting.

• The BMW i8 Concept Spyder is shorter in length
• Features a shorter wheel base
• Translucent glass doors have been replaced by ones made of the same opaque thermoplastic (the sames ones utilized in the rest of the plug-in sports car's body)

The interior of the i8 Concept Spyder has also seen a number of changes. Some critics have said that the interior is more down to earth than its coupe counterpart. While it may appear to be more conservative in its style, the number of features still have us raving about this vehicle.
